About Parqua
A Quiet Place to Build Something Lasting
Parqua was formed around a straightforward observation: most organisations in Malaysia want to prepare for disruptions, but few have a clear internal path to do so. We set out to make that path more accessible.

How Parqua Came to Be
Parqua began as a small documentation project. A group of practitioners who had spent years working inside operational planning processes noticed the same pattern repeating: organisations would commission external consultants, receive voluminous reports, and then find those reports sitting largely unused because internal staff did not have the foundational knowledge to put them to work.
Rather than adding to that pile, we decided to focus on the educational side. If operations, HR, and IT staff understood the structural shape of business continuity planning — the terminology, the document patterns, the decision points — they would be far better placed to work alongside external advisors, or to maintain an internal practice on their own.
Parqua's programmes are built around that premise. We are not trying to replace qualified practitioners. We are trying to help organisations develop the internal literacy to engage with continuity planning more effectively.
Our Mission
To make business continuity planning knowledge accessible to the operations, HR, and IT staff who carry most of the day-to-day responsibility for keeping organisations running.
Our Approach
We produce educational materials, document templates, and structured consulting engagements. All outputs are designed to be portable — organisations leave each engagement owning documents they can maintain and build on independently.
Our Focus
Malaysia-based mid-sized organisations, particularly those in regulated sectors or those that have identified continuity planning as a gap. We work in English and our scenario materials are contextualised for the Malaysian operating environment.

Standards
How We Work
Our materials and engagements are built around a set of working standards that we apply consistently.
Content Review Process
All written materials go through at least two internal reviews before being used in a programme — one for factual accuracy and one for clarity of language.
Data Handling
Participant information is held only for the duration of the engagement and for post-engagement correspondence. We do not use participant data for any marketing activity without separate consent.
Scope Clarity
Before any workshop or programme build begins, we produce a written scope document that both parties confirm. This reduces the likelihood of misaligned expectations during the engagement.
Material Currency
Course modules and workshop materials are reviewed annually to ensure terminology and structural patterns reflect current practice in Malaysia's regulatory and operational context.
Cross-Functional Accessibility
Materials are written to be intelligible to participants from operations, HR, and IT backgrounds simultaneously. Jargon is explained on first use and technical assumptions are stated clearly.
Transparent Pricing
All programme prices are fixed and published. There are no additional fees added during an engagement unless both parties agree in writing to a formal scope change.
Our Expertise
Business Continuity Planning Education in Malaysia
Business continuity planning has moved from a niche concern to a standard expectation for mid-sized organisations across Malaysia. Regulatory guidance from bodies including Bank Negara Malaysia has increased the visibility of operational resilience as a governance matter, and organisations outside the financial sector are increasingly expected to demonstrate that they have considered how they would sustain operations through a disruption.
Parqua occupies a specific position in this landscape. We are not a management consulting firm and we do not operate as regulated advisors. Our focus is on educational materials, document templates, and awareness programmes — tools that help internal staff understand the field well enough to work with it productively.
The organisations that benefit most from our programmes tend to have some internal recognition that continuity planning matters but lack a clear internal vocabulary or structural starting point. Our online course, two-day workshop, and twelve-week programme build are each designed to address a different stage of that readiness journey.
We work primarily in English and our materials are developed with Malaysian operational contexts in mind — including the kinds of industry examples, regulatory references, and scenario types that are most relevant to organisations based here. Our office is at Menara Allianz Sentral in Kuala Lumpur, and most of our workshop and programme build engagements are delivered within the Klang Valley, though we have supported organisations in other parts of Peninsular Malaysia as well.
